About The Area
Bournemouth »
Bournemouth is an elegant, pine-fringed coastal town with seven miles of award winning golden beaches set on the south coast of England. Surrounded by the attractive Dorset countryside it has been designated an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty", with both the Dorset Heritage Coast and The New Forest within easy reach.
The town's mainly Victorian architecture is complemented by a lively cosmopolitan street scene, interesting shops and a variety of nightlife and theatres. Its award winning pleasure gardens flank the Bourne stream for two miles and provide a pine scented stage for some of the many free festivals and events taking place in Bournemouth 365 days of the year.
